The seven deadly sins - pride, envy, anger, sloth, greed, gluttony and lust - provide the inspiration for new works by seven ViVO artists. In paintings, photography, encaustic and mixed media, the artists take on the sinful septuple and interpret their modern contexts.
Is greed venial today? Can you be gluttonous in an era of endless plenty?
How do pride and envy animate human actions?
And what's so bad about sloth?
This is a show about ancient sins that still reverberate through
contemporary culture.
