Patricia Pearce’s work was described by one prominent art magazine as “an exclamation mark in a sea of commas.” Another reviewer called her assemblages, “Baroque gone wild,” and said her newest work looks as if it came from the set of Game of Thrones, dark but alive with mystery.

Pearce's rich and supple creations are the products of a lifetime of making art. She has worked in sculpture, painting, collage, wood and bronze sculpture and printmaking. Today Pearce calls herself a “Creative Expansionist,” because she can’t restrict her imagination to one conventional medium. Her unique art draws from all the exploration she has done—and continues to do every day she is in her studio.

Pearce holds a BFA from the University of Cincinnati and has done graduate work in art at the University of New Mexico and Amherst College. She has made her home in Santa Fe, New Mexico, since 1981. In addition to creating her found object sculptures and works on paper, she has taught for over 20 years at the Santa Fe Community College, where she is presently the head of the printmaking and book arts department. She has also studied and taught in Florence, Italy. Pearce's prize-winning work can be found in private collections throughout the United States and in Europe.
