Outside the Lines
new work that refuses the constraints of imagination
The contemporary artists at ViVO are emerging from their studios and are ready to share their objectified responses to the pandemic. The resulting paintings, sculpture, mixed media, mosaic and kiln glass in this show capture the depth of the experience that we are all sharing while inspiring new hope for a future alive and well and living in our hearts.

Some Kind of Wonderful
Searching for a word to describe this new show by ViVO Contemporary’s current collective of eight artists, "wonderful" leapt from the page. It’s a word that describes the eye-popping work of contemporary artist Norma Alonzo as well as the luminous Kiln Glass work of Barrie Brown. Alonzo's Desert Home (above), takes us on a sublime journey through color, line and shape, while Brown's Sunrise Soliloquy (below) sings softly of the promise of dawn. Both pieces embody the definition "unusually good" in their uniqueness and mastery of process.
ViVO Contemporary is currently looking for 3D artists to represent for the 2020 season. Because we are an artist-owned gallery where all artists are equal partners, there is both a financial and time commitment. If you'd like to learn more, please send an email to gallery@vivocontemporary.com with "SUBMISSION" in the subject line and provide your website address and/or send 3-4 high quality images of your work, as well as your CV and/or artist statement.
NOTE:
We exclusively represent artists local to the Santa Fe Area due to our active gallery participation requirements.
