ViVO Contemporary shows the work of outstanding Santa Fe artists in an elegant two-level gallery on historic Canyon Road in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Collectors and visitors tell us they especially appreciate the gallery’s adventurousness, high-quality contemporary work, and stylish presentation.

 

We support our artists in following their creative process where it leads them, and the result is a unique ensemble of work. Mediums range from painting and printmaking to handmade paper sculpture incorporating local found materials; from book arts and kiln glass to collage, assemblage and sculpture.

 

ViVO also experiments with unusual artistic projects, including an annual collaboration between our artists and an award-winning group of local poets. In Giving Voice to Image, each ViVO artist is paired with a poet, who visits the artist’s studio, gets to know the artist's work, and writes a poem inspired by that. Every spring, ViVO shows the poems next to the works that inspired the writers, holds several poetry readings, and publishes a book of the poems and corresponding images. Giving Voice to Image inspires the artists and poets involved and brings Santa Fe’s cross-disciplinary creativity to a wider community.

 

Because the gallery has chosen to show all of its artists every day, rather than putting on solo or small group exhibits, visitors can always count on seeing new and exciting work from ViVO’s curious, vital contemporary artists.
