This painting is complicated. There are several layers on each part of the piece. The top has a wash of a cool white that makes the sky come alive. The bottom, though not seen well on the picture, is a crackly foreground, almost like cracked clay on a mudflat. The middle purples are very vibrant and alive. Matte varnish so the paint comes through. Finished on all sides. It is signed on the front and ready to hang on your wall.
