I began incorporating used teabags in my mixed media art some time ago. As interest grew, I created "The Teabag Project" allowing people from around the world to donate their used teabags to be incorporated into my art. This piece began with an acrylic under painting to which I added teabags of varying shapes and sized, as well as other collogue materials. To add interest some of the strings and tags were left on the teabags. The piece is protected with UV spray, acrylic medium and several layers of acrylic varnish. The sides are finished with black acrylic paint. The piece is wired and ready for hanging.
