This painting is so full of energy and sparkle. The top utilizes metallic pigments and has a pewter/silver sparkle that is not completely evident in photos. There is also a hint of bronze coming through. Underpainting is a deep blue which is evident in a few places. The lively yellow contrasts with a more subdued blue at the bottom. This is also evident in the finish; the top has a clearcoat that is somewhat glossy, the bottom has a cold wax finish. There are many interpretations of this piece, some people see trees others just see shape. I have only one other in this series, it has a dirty yellow bottom. This is a great way to spice up a room. Signed on the bottom so as not to distract from imagery.
