The artists inspiration for this work is the last 11,700 years of earths history - The Holocene. A period that has witness all of humanities recorded history. Humanities impact and scar on this period has been immense - resulting in destruction and global warming. yes, the Holocene has also seen the great development of human knowledge and technology. The question remains, will we elect to utilize this knowledge to save ourselves. The piece is floated in a contemporary black wood frame and is ready for hanging.
