Inner Circle presents a measured interplay between geometry and texture, inviting a closer look at the subtle tensions within its framework. A large circular wire, intentionally positioned off-center, dominates the composition, enclosing irregular negative spaces that reveal a luminous gold background. This warm metallic glow contrasts with the cool restraint of loosely woven white paper strips, their rough, uneven edges lending an organic softness to the otherwise precise arrangement. Black rods intersect the circle at deliberate points, extending horizontally and anchoring the composition with a disciplined balance. A small, black paper strip laid over a gold circle provides a quiet counterpoint, while fine threads hang from the rods and perforations, introducing a delicate unpredictability to the structured form. The work encourages reflection on the dynamic equilibrium between control and fragility, where meticulous construction coexists with tactile irregularities, crafting a space that feels both deliberate and alive.
