I began incorporating used teabags in my mixed media work some time ago. As a result of this interest I created "The Teabag Project". I get donations of used teabags from people all over the world to use in making art. This piece started with an acrylic under painting to which I added round teabags and square bags that I stitched together creating a background for a etching of a dandelion. The additional elements used were gold acrylic and caulk pastels. The piece is protected with VU spray, pastel fixative, and several layers of acrylic varnish. It is framed in a gold floater frame, wired and ready for hanging.
