Lava Lamp II
Monoprinting is a type of printmaking where the intent is to make unique prints. It lends itself to spontaneity. Oil based ink was rolled onto a plexiglass plate in a freeform pattern. Then it was covered with a piece of printmaking paper and rolled through the press where the ink is absorbed into the paper. The ink created this freeform abstract image that apperars to be floating.
