This painting was inspired by artist Warren Keating's view of a couple of friends on a nature trail walking together on a cool spring morning in Santa Fe, New Mexico. The artist captured video of the two women walking and later used that video as an inspiration to create this large , expressive oil painting. Keating's unique "Pixel Impressionist" style is inspire by the motion blur and pixel artifacts of the original video. The piece is created "alla prima" meaning painted directly on the canvas, blocked in aggressively with no drawing or projection. The expressive painting is created on 1.5" deep-stretch canvas with sides finished in white. It is protected by a satin finish varnish.
