I have been incorporating used teabags in my mixed media pieces for some time. So I decided to create an interactive art experience "The Teabag Project". People from around the world send me their used teabags to be used in my teabag art. "Presence" which includes used teabags was created when I was an artist in residence in Ireland. The naturally dyed teabags were attached to a wooden panel and sprayed with UV protection. A piece of fern that was growing in the Irish countryside was used as a stencil to create the image. Acrylic paint and varnish were used to finish the pieces. It is wired and ready for hanging.
