This painting just happened! The bronze sky is absolutely meditative and deep with many layers of paint and a subtle finish that allows viewer to "see" into it. The contrasty, highly textured "clouds" of blue not only contrast by color but by texture as well. When i found the right blue to add to the bronze sky I almost flipped with joy; like that feeling when you hear the right song at the right time. The bottom is a neutral hue of gray with oil stick details which contrasts well with the vibrant and textured red line and the white dash. The bottom is "flattened" more with a matte cold wax. Inspired by color itself, I loved painting this. It is ready to hang and looks alive on the wall!
