The Long Good Bye presents a layered, tactile landscape that unfolds through a quiet interplay of natural forms and subtle contrasts. A field of textured white surfaces, built from uneven handmade sheets, creates a sense of depth and quiet motion. Scattered brown beads appear like seeds or remnants across the upper area, gently anchoring the composition. Two slender, intertwined wires weave horizontally through the center, guiding the eye in a slow, deliberate passage. Beneath, a compact pattern of vertical inlayed twigs rises like fragile reeds, reaching upward and breaking the smooth planes above. Near the lower edge, a small found metal piece recalls the silhouette of a church tower, standing as a solitary counterpoint to the pale expanse. Together, these elements evoke a contemplative balance between organic growth and enduring structure, suggesting themes of departure, memory, and the passage of time.
