Windy Desert is a teabag inspired mixed media piece. It features teabags with tea and teabags that have been emptied and stitched together. Acrylic paint was used to create an image under the stitched bags. UV protection, numerous coats of acrylic medium, and acrylic varnish provide a protective finish. The piece is framed in a black wooden floater frame. It is wired and ready for hanging. I began collecting teabags from people around the world to be used in my mixed media work several years ago. I created THE TEABAG PROJECT to facilitate this collecting process. It has grown in scope.... "At The Teabag Project we see drinking tea as an act of peace. Each work of art in the collection began life as a single cup of tea. Our motto has become "World Peace Through Inner Peace, One Cup of Tea At A Time."
