Inspired by the magic found in the simple moment, artist Warren Keating’s aerial portrait series was inspired by views from Keating’s hotel balcony in some of his favorite cities. This figure painting was inspired by a Saturday afternoon visit to the Santa Monica pier and the view of the cyclists and pedestrians on the path below. Using his signature Pixel Impressionist brush strokes, Keating rendered the movement of the cycling figure in vivid oil paint in a palette reminiscent of the beach.
